The White House has explicitly rejected suggestions that refugees have a positive economic impact on the United States. The move comes as leaked documents show that the administration tried to cover up this “fact.” However, the White House claims that this “information” is politically motivated propaganda. And they are likely right.
There is an assumption among liberal circles that all refugees are the same. It is the same mistake they make by assuming there is such a thing as “the black vote.” All people are different and are motivated by different factors. It is a number game that they are trying to play on the American people.
For example. If a refugee arrived from a different country 10 years ago and was wealthy. Say they started a company with money they already had, and that company turns over millions of dollars. Then 500 more migrants arrive and spend the decade on welfare. Does that mean that “refugees have a positive impact on the economy?”
It is a fallacy based on ideology. We just have to look at other nations that are more honest about their figures. In Sweden, authorities say that at least 75% of the newly arrived “refugees” will be “economically inactive” for their whole lives. The question we should be asking is why people n the American government are so determined to con the American people on this?
