Kathy Griffin received more bad news when several venues cancelled shows on her nationwide comedy tour. The cancellations came after the release of a photo depicting the comedienne holding up a fake decapitated head of President Donald Trump. The photo was met with instant backlash. Trump himself responded to the photo, saying Griffin “should be ashamed of herself.” The secret service announced they were investigating the photo. Griffin finally caved and released an apology video. The video did nothing to stop the backlash.
It started with Squatty Potty, a line of footstools for toilets, when they cancelled a new ad campaign starring Griffin. CNN followed by firing Kathy Griffin, she will no longer host the New Years Eve show with Anderson Cooper. Now we are learning that several venues have cancelled Griffin’s shows:
- California June 16th
- California October 13th
- Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque July 22
- The St. George Theater in Staten Island November 2nd
- State Theatre in New Brunswick November 3rd
Griffin announced through her attorney Lisa Bloom she will hold a press conference in Woodland Hills, Calif. at 9 a.m. It will be the first comments Griffin has made since she was fired from CNN.Source: Gossip Cop
