Two more police have been shot by a radical Islamic terrorist. Officials say a man suspected of links to radical Islam shot two police officers on the French island of Reunion. The incident is under investigation by national counter-terrorism prosecutors.
Officials say the two police officers were from a special national police intervention force. They were trying to arrest a “Dangerous individual” when they were shot. The suspect was subdued and arrested.
The officer’s injuries are non life threatening. They are expected to make a full recovery.
The shooting comes just one week after a police officer was killed in Paris by a radical Islamic terrorist. The shooting shook up France’s presidential election campaign. France is currently under a state of emergency after multiple Islamic terrorist attacks against the country.
