Mother nature has joined the fight against ISIS. An Iraqi news website has just reported that 3 ISIS fighters were killed and 5 were injured when a group of wild boars attacked them in North Iraq. Yes you read that right, radical Islamists were killed by a group of pigs.
According to Iraqi News, the ISIS fighters were near a farm in Kirkuk in the al-Rashad region. The boars tore through the farmland and attacked them. ISIS was so angry at the animals that they sought revenge, though it is unclear if they were successful.
Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a chief of the local Ubaid tribe and supervisor of anti-ISIS forces, said the group was poised to attack a band of local tribesmen who had fled to nearby mountains since militants seized the town of Hawija three years ago. The militants had summarily executed 25 people attempting to flee the militant’s would-be caliphate in the three days before the boars attacked.
