Police say 21-year-old Leoul Yosef will be charged with burglary after he robbed an Alexandria apartment on Wednesday. Yosef was startled mid robbery when the owner returned unexpectedly. Yosef jumped off the second story balcony and broke his leg. Yosef attempted to hobble away but was unsuccessful. He eventually called 911 for help, first responders were able to positively identify him as the suspect from the robbery. Yosef was arrested on the spot. Police say tracks in the snow led right to him.
“6000 block of Stoddard Court, 1/14/17, around 4:15 p.m. Officers responded to this location for a report of someone trespassing. An apartment complex manager was showing a vacant apartment when a man jumped from the window. Officers gave chase and located the suspect hiding in an adjacent building. They took 21-year-old Leoul Yosef, of Alexandria, into custody and took him to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with trespassing.” – fcpd news
Police say they were already following the tracks when they got the call from 911. Yosef was charged with trespassing after his release from the hospital. It was unclear if Yosef was yet represented by an attorney.
